Hi {{ first name | Raleigh Lover}}!
Last night I was chatting with Luther, the manager of our local Goodberry’s. We worked with him earlier this year on our Aussie Doughbreaker creation, so it was fun to catch up. He told me they’d brought back their “Orange Cream” flavor after a 10-year hiatus.
“Oh, so you’re jumping on the Swift–Life of a Showgirl orange trend?” I teased.
His reply: “Who?”
That was hands down my favorite conversation of the week.
So—are you also saying, “Who?” Or do you already have October 3 etched in orange on your calendar?
It feels good to be back exploring Raleigh again. It’s not perfect, but time away always reminds me just how great we have it here. We’ve got two more trips before we fully settle in: Wrightsville Beach this weekend for college drop-off (including a visit to Capt’n Bill’s—an epic beach volleyball facility Raleigh folks love), and then Pinehurst for one of our 36-hour getaways.
Got Pinehurst tips? We’d love to hear them!

iSmash in Wake Forest. We had a fun experience unleashing our rage by smashing up things and then tapping into our creative side in the paint splatter room after! No need to take your anger out on the Raleigh traffic anymore!
The Ballast on Salem - we were filming these apartments yesterday. Video coming soon. Great living near downtown Apex.
Lunch at Birdie’s Restaurant in Downtown Raleigh. Liked the style and food and thought the prices were decent in comparison to standards now.
Mamacita’s in Morrisville - our daughter’s las supper request before her big move today to UNCW! I love their colorful design and my birria bowl was also great.
Followed by the banana split at Goodberry’s - we’re such fans of frozen custard!

My heart!

So much flooding around us lately. Hope you’re all safe!
The Summer I turned Pretty Season 3 may be rife with bad acting, but I enjoy watching it to see so many places we love and have been to in Chapel Hill and Wilmington/ Wrightsville. It’s really showing our assets off!
Barrio's Tacos is now open in Smoky Hollow. Go build some of your own faves!
