Weekly Wrap: Motherhood, Memories & Mimosas – Cheers to You, Moms of Raleigh!

Plus, your weekly wrap!

Hi Raleigh Lover!

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about mothers—mine, yours, and the many beautiful forms motherhood takes.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and whether you're a mom yourself, celebrating one, missing one, or holding complicated feelings around the day, I just want to pause and say: we see you.

Motherhood is a wild ride. It’s full of deep joy, sleepless nights, tearful laughter, and countless unseen sacrifices. It’s “fixing everything” with a hug, whispering encouragement through bathroom doors, and clapping the loudest at dance recitals, soccer games, or graduation bell-ringing ceremonies.

It’s also a journey of evolving identity—especially as kids grow up, leave home, and you find yourself rediscovering who you are. That’s something I’m feeling deeply this year, especially receiving Kalyra’s college move in date today. My baby is really moving away 😢😢

But it’s also about the little moments—Sunday brunches, handwritten cards, and flowers from the Farmer’s Market—that remind us to celebrate and soak in the love while we can.

So this weekend, whether you're booking a special brunch, wandering the Raleigh Rose Garden, or taking a few peaceful hours to yourself—just know you deserve every bit of it. We’ve included some lovely local ideas below to help you celebrate the moms in your life (or to treat yourself like the queen you are 💐).

Happy Mother’s Day to all our Raleigh mamas, grandmamas, stepmoms, foster moms, dog moms, cat moms, and chosen moms. You make this city—and this world—more beautiful.

Cheers,
Caroline
