Hi {{ first name | Raleigh Lover}}!
We kicked off the weekend with a whole lot of Courage – cheering on our local legends at the NC Courage home opener! While our Aussie stars Courtney and Charlotte were sadly out sick and in quarantine (get well soon, ladies! 🇦🇺), I did volunteer to sub in. Not sure why the team didn’t take me up on it (maybe it was the UGG boots?), but at least they had the Aussie flag flying proudly—and you know I snagged a selfie with it. Priorities. 😉
The energy at WakeMed Soccer Park was absolutely buzzing. The supporters’ band had the percussion section rocking, the pregame entertainment had the kids grinning ear-to-ear, and we even got to chat with a few of our wonderful readers. Big highlight: meeting Damon Nahas, the legendary UNC Tar Heels women’s soccer coach – another team we love to follow!
With over 8,000 fans in the stands (a record crowd 🙌), it was clear that women's soccer is thriving here in the Triangle. While we didn’t quite get the result we were hoping for on the scoreboard, the ladies brought heart, grit, and of course – Courage – to the field. We’re so lucky to have this kind of experience right here in our backyard.
It’s such a fun, family-friendly, affordable night out – safe, spirited, and full of community connection. We’ve got season passes this year and honestly, we can’t wait to keep showing up, waving flags, and cheering our team on. If you’ve never been to a game – this is your sign. GO COURAGE!
Cheers,
Caroline

💖 FAVORITE FINDS
The new Urban Oak rooftop - I love how it has views of the north and south of Raleigh. It’s has an elevated vibe also, gave me small feelings of Sydney. Plus the Tempo Hotel underneath is gorgeous.
Delicious lunch at Coquette - my favorite the Beef Bourguignon - thrilled that it was gluten free!
The new coffee pop up in North Hills - Pretty Good Coffee Company
Chatting with Matthew at the Sunglasses Hut and learning all about the Ray Ban Meta glasses. Still not sure if I want a pair, but I was impressed, especially with the price point. I was expecting it to be so much more.
