Hi {{ first name | Raleigh Lover}}!

Do you ever feel like you have a tiny adventurer living in your home? Well, we do—and her name is Peach. Our cat might technically be an indoor kitty, but don’t tell her that. Every day, like clockwork, she posts herself by the door, eyes full of determination, ready to step out into the great unknown (aka, our backyard).

She’s an extrovert in the truest sense—curious about every sound, fascinated by the rustling trees, and absolutely convinced that the world beyond the front door was made just for her. And honestly? I get it. There’s something magical about stepping outside each day with a fresh sense of wonder.

At first, I resented Peach’s persistence. With a to-do list a mile long, stepping away—even for a few minutes—felt like a waste of time. Especially in the winter chill! But slowly, I’ve come to love our daily outside time.

It’s become a moment of pause in my otherwise busy day. I use it to listen to podcasts and courses that nourish my growth. I see the world through Peach’s eyes as she climbs trees, watches birds, and takes in every tiny detail with awe. And I’ve even connected more with my neighbors—curious about the sight of a beautiful white cat on a pink leash, completely enthralled by the world around her.

It’s a portal into joy. And every day, we need to find those portals, no matter how busy we tell ourselves we are. The surprising thing? Taking these small moments to step away hasn’t hurt my productivity—it’s probably enhanced it.

So here’s your friendly reminder from Peach (and me!): step outside, get curious, and find your own little portal into joy this weekend. You just might find it makes everything else feel a little lighter.

Wishing you a weekend full of adventure (even if it’s just in your own backyard).
