Weekly Wrap 11/08: Raleigh Rose Garden blooming, chocolate souffle, new rooftop views

Hi Raleigh Lover!
It’s been a wonderful few days spending time with Craig’s parents visiting from Australia. We’ve disconnected from online while we have for a much-needed break.
We’ve been exploring downtown Raleigh, downtown Cary, watched the Canes win last night, and managed to still see some decorations at Raleigh’s best Halloween House. We’re behind on sharing all our fun finds with you, but they are coming this week.
This week, we’ll be enjoying Moonlight in the Garden and afternoon tea at the Washington Duke!
I’m not sure we could have asked for better weather! We hope you are able to get out and enjoy the last of those warm, sunny rays. I think your spirit needs it!
Make it a great week! We appreciate you!
Caroline
💖 FAVORITE FINDS
The Raleigh Rose Garden is currently looking the best I’ve ever seen it.
Winston’s Grille - we finally ate at a Raleigh staple and found the food delicious. Leave room for desserts, they are something special! I loved my gluten free chocolate torte with homemade butter pecan ice cream. And check out Craig’s mum’s chocolate souffle below!!
Mums from the NC State Farmer’s Market. My mother-in-law bought two for our house. They are so stunning!
Beautiful Fall colors at Lake Johnson

⭐DID YOU HEAR?
They have apprehended two people who are possibly connected to the car shootings that have happened this past week around I40 in southwest Raleigh. We thought we’d avoid I40 yesterday and take a different “safer” route. Turns out we drove right through the area where they were!! EEK! Thankfully there have been no fatalities and police presence will still be elevated in the area.
The much-anticipated High Rail rooftop bar in Seaboard Station opens today. We missed the preview party last night BUT we did have a looksee a few weeks ago during construction and we can report that the expansive views are impressive. It’s a different view of Raleigh.
True Food Kitchen in North Hills will open to the public on Monday. We’ll have a sneak peek on Saturday to share with you.
Wolfpack basketball is back this weekend. Let’s hope their season is exciting as last years! We’re hoping to take Craig’s parents to a game.
The Brass Tap in Downtown Raleigh is opening on Monday Nov 11! Expect over 45 taps and a good game day buzz.
