This week’s a big one for us — we’re moving our eldest into UNCW. We’re soaking up every last bit of time together (and it’s far too little). It’s wild how quickly the years have flown.
This morning, I found myself feeling so grateful that we homeschooled the girls for seven years so we could travel together. It wasn’t always easy — in fact, it was intense and challenging — but those years were rich with quality time, and they seemed to move much slower than the whirlwind of the past four in school.
It’s definitely a mixed bag of emotions — bittersweet goodbyes paired with so much excitement for her new adventure. I can’t wait to see how her next chapter unfolds. I have to keep stopping myself from wishing she will need me to drive down to see her every day! highly unlikely as she seems to already have a social calendar filling up including concerts and dance parties. I knew Wilmington would be the perfect place for her!
