Smash it out, splash it up — a new kind of fun just outside Raleigh

If you’ve ever wanted to smash a plate, throw some paint, or just release that built-up stress in a totally fun (and safe) way then I’ve got a place for you.

We recently checked out iSmash in Wake Forest with our teen daughter, Savannah, and it turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly fun family experiences we’ve had in ages.

First, we suited up for the rage room — smashing old electronics, bottles, and car windshields with baseball bats and sledgehammers. Savannah even smashed a bottle full of colored powder that turned her hair purple (don’t worry, it washes out!). It was wild, hilarious, and surprisingly therapeutic.

Then we headed into the paint splatter room, where we threw paint at each other and created our own colorful “masterpieces” to take home. Let’s just say Picasso would be proud.

It’s messy. It’s creative. It’s the perfect mix of stress relief and laughter and a unique thing to do near Raleigh with teens, friends, or even your partner.
