Hi {{first_name}}

It's a small world, right?

Travel has taught me that over and over. Running into university friends in the middle of the San Fermín festival in Pamplona, Spain. Bumping into old friends on the streets of London.

And then last night, in a small brewery in small town Oakhurst, California. I'm eating a delicious burger and watching the Canes light up Raleigh in red when the family at the next table leans over: "Are you rooting for the Canes?"

Well, I'm Australian, but I live in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"Oh my gosh, we live in Durham!" "Fuquay-Varina!"

A family road tripping through California, just like Savannah and me. What are the chances?

That's the beauty of life. Connections are everywhere if you stay open to conversations and look for the common thread, the golden thread that runs between us all. Last night, it was cheering on Aho as he slammed in another goal.

What a victory, hey? The Canes are finally looking good and I'm feeling confident they take this series home. What about you?

I really hope they wrap it up in game six, because game seven I will not be able to watch. I'll be in San Francisco watching the Dallas Wings with Savannah, and I think she may divorce me if I try to sneak peeks at the Canes. So, let's get it done in six, boys.

Meanwhile, we're having an amazing time in Yosemite. Yesterday Savannah and I hiked to Nevada Fall, via the Mist Trail, then back down to catch the rainbows that show up almost daily here when the weather allows. Spectacular. It was a tough hike. Tough because it's been about six years since I've done anything like it, and I'm a little out of shape and a little older now. But what beautiful memories we made together. I’ll share all of our trip on yTravelBlog. Won’t be for awhile as I have obvious time constraints and limited internet!

Today we rest our bodies before heading to Kings Canyon for more hiking tomorrow.

That's it from me. Enjoy the beautiful weekend in Raleigh, and I'll speak to you again on Monday.

Warmly,

Caroline
